WE LOVE GIVING BACK AND ENCOURAGE GIRLS TO DO THE SAME
Chocolate Cupcake is a brand with a conscience. We want all girls to know and revel in their own value, while finding ways to love and care about others. Together, we can make a better planet. Getting girls to understand and value the art of giving back to the community is a huge motivational force behind the Cupcake RUN! 5K. If anyone can, a girl can!
We're Helping in the Fight Against Juvenile Diabetes
This year, we're donating a portion of our race day proceeds to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The JDRF funds research that transforms the lives of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). They're committed to finding a cure, and we won’t stop until they do. Their tireless efforts helps to drive scientific progress that delivers new treatments and therapies that make day-to-day life with T1D easier, safer and healthier. That's why Chocolate Cupcake wants to support them, and we're committed to raising awareness about their amazing work. Learn more about JDRF here http://www.jdrf.org .
We're Partnering with Charity Miles in Support of Girl Up, Empowering Girls to Make Change
We're super excited to announce our 2017 partnership with Charity Miles in support of the United Nations Girl Up initiative. As the United Nations Foundation’s adolescent girl campaign, Girl Up engages girls to take action. Like us, the U.N. believes that girls are powerful, and that when they’re educated, healthy, and safe, girls transform their communities. When girls stand up for girls in need, they empower each other and transform our world.
Chocolate Cupcake is pleased to encourage our Cupcake RUN! participants to join our Charity Miles team (CupcakeRUN5K) so that on race day, they'll run with a philanthropic purpose. For every mile covered by everyone who's signed up for team CupcakeRUN5K, Charity Miles will donate $0.25 to Girl Up. That's AMAZING! And it's an easy way to encourage our audience to do something cool for a great cause.
